ABC’s new live dance competition! Celebrities pay comedic homage to famous dances while competing for their favorite charities. Hosted by two-time Emmy Award winner and best-selling author Kathy Griffin.
Remember those classic and sometimes hysterical dance routines from the past—from music videos, movies and musicals? Well they are about to be reborn on ABC’s new weekly prime time dance off, Let’s Dance!
The competition is hot (and hilarious) as teams of celebrities pay comedic homage to famous dances while competing for $250,000 in prizes for their favorite charities. Let’s Dance is hosted by two-time Emmy Award winner and NY Times best-selling author Kathy Griffin (My Life on the D-List)!
The show will include single dancers, duos and groups, all competing against each other to wow a panel of judges and viewers across America who will be voting each week leading up to the series finale. The panel of judges and celebrity participants will be announced in the next couple of weeks. In each of the first three episodes, a different group of celebrity contestants will train, rehearse and take the stage to reveal their comedic dance routine in front of a live studio audience. After each performance, the judges will pass their comments along and viewers will have the chance to vote for their favorite. From each of these three episodes, two acts will be chosen—one by the judges and one by the viewers. These two acts will dance again in the finale performance show and the viewers will vote one last time. In the spectacular finale results show, the one act who entertains America will be crowned as the favorite and receive the grand prize for their selected charity.
